Welcome to the Wine Club from Le Courrier du Vin. Every two months the selection for club members will change and we will offer selections that promote France’s vineyard and its many facets. Our selections will be keenly priced with quality the key. Our aims are to promote all production areas, to cater for all tastes and to introduce the wine-drinker to new sensations in that most accommodating of implements, the wine glass. We recognise that our customers expect the best and we aim to cater for everyone which is reflected in our price bands and the variety of our selections from the good everyday white or red selection to those wines that are kept for fine occasions or simply to enhance a quiet moment in the maelstrom of life.

In March the Rhone Valley is being featured with reds grabbing the headlines whilst not completely forgetting the region’s complex full-bodied whites. Côtes du Rhône is an ideal winter wine with seductive fruit mingling effortlessly with elusive spices. This month’s white selection are ideal for the light meals that are naturally de rigueur following the previous excesses. Languedoc provides the lighter side of red with easy enjoyment the key although this does not equate with uninteresting wines as these offer hints and suggestions of summer.

Joining could not be simpler. The first 4 months are free with an annual fee of €15 being charged thereafter. Every two months you will receive the selection of your choice from the price band that you have chosen which can be changed by notifying us one delivery in advance to avoid any billing errors. In the selections there is of course the possibility of choosing from among the wines to compile one’s own selection, simply let us know and we will happily send you a quote. Selections will be available permanently and may be purchased at any time although we would encourage our members to try the new selections each month with only vintages changing or should we feel that the quality falls short of that which our customers expect wines will be withdrawn. Prices for the selections do not include transport and insurance. The price for each selection will vary over time but by not more than €10 per selection in 2007, depending on the area being covered. New members will receive a 5% discount on their first order. Members will receive regular tasting notes, information on the world of wine and whatever else we fancy talking about.
